ZOIKS!!!!

WOAH!!!  We got us some snow todayyyyyyyy!!!  I'd say around 16" or so overnight.  My little truck will not make it into work, and I got myself a good workout when I try  to unbury... um EVERYTHING.  Where is new blogger Nancy when I need her.  :)   lol.  

On a serious note there is some stuff going on that makes me think about things.  You guys remember my post about Omar.  The guy who ran 8 miles as a long run.  Longest run of his life, and was wondering if he could run a half marathon???  He ran the half marathon in under 2 hours.  Well, he is a boss of mine, and just yesterday he had to put a 1 year old dog down.  He has 4 daughters.  UGH!!!  He is really a nice guy, and he is part of the running crew we got at work.  Hey we just do stuff kinda for ourselves, but it rubs off huh?  You see people like me and Ken doing what we do, and others get the active bug going.  AND WHY NOT????  All it takes is a 5K, and you might be addicted.  Even when Jerry comes in to the store... frequently... a lot of people tell me he was in.  He garners a bit of respect.  You make this blog, and people will know who you are. 

That is why this blog is kinda weird to me.  Just the way it affects people.  I say stuff that happens in my life.  Stuff I think about.  How Dare anyone think it is about them.  You got your own life.  Mine is mine, and if you judge me, because of what I say, I must ask why???  You have not walked in my shoes.  You have absolutely no idea what I have been through.  Mostly I am nice to people too.  Some of you had read my story too, and know there were times in my life where I wish I was never born.  It has nothing to do about anything except I was put in a position of being sooooooo scared.  SCARED!!  Things you never saw, and never experienced.  Real shit!!!   Pandora's box opened up in my mind so to speak, and afterwards feeling doomed to Hades, I was shown I was on a good side.  The birds in the tops of the trees that I saw EVERYWHERE!!!   This was back before my summer of discontent.  Right before Lora and I became friends.  Did I know the story??  Oh dear no.  One did though, and he led me along.  I knew there was a thing to transpire, which btw I thought was this Thanksgiving, thus my shock when it wasn't.  This Thanksgiving must have been 2 of 3.  :)  I thought it was like 6 of 7 or something.  Some of you know a lot about me. 

On another note my funny new blogger Ironmin had a new post.  One where she is recovering from having a broken heart.  I had no idea.  I see there was a 2 year stretch where she only had a few updates.  I'll check and see what that story is about, but glad I added her to my list.  Everyone's life has some stuff in it huh? 

Also I think it is Steve Rose's birthday today too.  You all remember his story.  That death broke some hearts I know too.  Shit!!!   I still picture his sister Beth Rose Mickel's face at the visitation thingy.  She is a strong girl, because she got up to talk.  She told everyone she didn't know what to do about him.  John Miller was the first person I called when I saw it on FB.  I was like WHAT?????   He was in Michigan, and we just kept missing each other.  He told me everything was fabulous, when there were other things going on.  You know the truth???  There were a lot of fabulous things going on.  He touched a ton of people's lives.  He had to battle some shit though, and I think we all do. 

That is what this blog is about... among other things too.  :)

Run to work yesterday.  3.5 miles.  I didn't time it.  It was with boots on through snow.  Not the sexy ones that girls wear,  a different kind.  I am still looking for the sexy ones that are JUST MY STYLE!!!  :)   lol j/k

Snow melt in the evening.  3 miles at 9:02 pace.  Only one other runner out there, and of course it was a girl.  She was freaking fast too.  Holy crap.  We said hi to each other each time our paths crossed.  The freaking snow hurt my face.   :)
